About 7Pulse

7Pulse is an Australian news summary site. It gives you the day's key stories in seven sections: Big stories, Politics, Business, Sports, Entertainment, Lifestyle and Technology.

Who publishes it

7Pulse is published by the 7Pulse desk.

How the stories are made

The stories are written by the 7Pulse desk. Each story is checked before it goes up. We write in our own words. Each story names its sources and says where it happened. Each story also carries a status: Confirmed or Developing.

Our style

We use plain Australian English and short sentences. We spell out abbreviations the first time we use them. We keep our wording factual. When a claim comes from one source, we say so.

What we publish

A new set of stories goes up each morning. When a story changes, we update it.

Sensitive stories

Some stories cover courts, crime or other hard topics. We keep them factual and avoid graphic detail. Where it helps, we include contact details for support services.

Corrections and contact

If you spot a mistake, tell us. See the Contact page. We correct clear errors and add a short, dated Correction note at the bottom of the story.
