Scott Boland takes four wickets as Australia take control in the second Test

South Africa were 97 for five at stumps on day two in Gqeberha after play started six hours late.

Confirmed

Fast bowler Scott Boland took four wickets for 31 runs as Australia took control of the second Test against South Africa in Gqeberha. South Africa were 97 for five at stumps on day two. Play began six hours later than planned. Captain Temba Bavuma fought hard and was 41 not out at the close. Wiaan Mulder was two not out. Boland bowled 14 overs. The International Cricket Council said they were his best Test figures against South Africa. Matt Renshaw also took a sharp catch at first slip to get rid of Ryan Rickelton for 31. Australia already lead the three-match series 1-0 after winning the first Test. A win in Gqeberha would give them the series with a game to spare. Day three starts tonight, Australian time. South Africa will need Bavuma to keep going if they want to fight back. The third and final Test is in Cape Town from 27 to 31 October.
