Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has asked European leaders for an extra €70 billion to help pay for the war in 2027. Speaking at a European Union (EU) summit in Brussels on Friday, he said: "The war will cost €155 billion next year." He said Russia had shown no sign it was ready to stop fighting, and Ukraine must prepare for winter, DW reported, citing news agencies. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said no sanctions on Russia would be lifted unless it stops the war. In the United States (US), President Donald Trump denied that he or Elon Musk were behind limits on Ukraine's use of a military satellite service. "I don't think it was me, and I don't think it was Elon," he said. UK Defence Secretary Wes Streeting said US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth had told him Ukraine's Starlink access was restored, The Guardian reported. Streeting said they did not talk about why it was cut. It is still not known who ordered the limits.
