Pauline Hanson apologises and orders change to One Nation cartoon mocking Jacqui Lambie
The One Nation leader says the video went up without her seeing it, but she takes responsibility.
Confirmed
One Nation leader Pauline Hanson has said sorry for a party cartoon that mocked Senator Jacqui Lambie's medical condition. Senator Lambie has spoken publicly about having a prolapse. That is a health condition where an organ slips out of its normal place. The cartoon video was posted by One Nation and carried Senator Hanson's name. "I do apologise for that," Senator Hanson said, The Guardian Australia reported. "The video went up without my actually seeing it." She said she still had to own it. "It does bear my name, and I've got to take responsibility for that," she said. Senator Hanson said the cartoon would be changed, 7NEWS reported. The video drew criticism for making fun of a woman's health. Political parties often use cartoons and short videos online to attack rivals. It is not yet clear when the changed video will go up, or what it will show.
