Australia won by 40 runs in North Sydney to go 2-0 up with one game left.

Confirmed

Australia have kept the Rose Bowl, the trophy for women's cricket matches against New Zealand. Ashleigh Gardner smashed 84 runs from just 45 balls on Tuesday night, cricket.com.au reported. Her innings helped Australia reach 7 for 167 at North Sydney Oval. Leg-spinner Georgia Wareham then took 3 for 18. New Zealand, known as the White Ferns, finished on 8 for 127. Australia won by 40 runs. That puts them 2-0 up in the three-game series. "Australia have retained the Rose Bowl with one game to play," cricket.com.au said. These are T20 Internationals, a short form of cricket where each team bats for 20 overs. Gardner's fast scoring set up the win, and the bowlers kept New Zealand well behind. The third and final game is on Thursday 22 October. It starts at 7.15pm Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT) at North Sydney Oval. New Zealand will be playing for pride. Australia will be chasing a clean sweep of the series. Fans can still get along to the last game.
