Tweedvale reduced fat milk recalled in South Australia over E. coli

The 1 litre and 2 litre bottles with a Use By date of 21 October 2026 should not be drunk.

Confirmed

A brand of milk sold in South Australia (SA) has been recalled because it may contain E. coli, a type of germ that can make people sick. Tweedvale Dairies has recalled its Reduced Fat Milk in 1 litre and 2 litre bottles. The recalled bottles have a Use By date of 21/10/2026. The milk was sold in South Australian shops, including independent stores such as IGA. Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ), the government body that looks after food safety, published the recall on 12 October. If you have this milk, don't drink it. You can take it back to the shop for a full refund. Anyone worried about their health should talk to a doctor. No illnesses have been reported. Because the Use By date has not passed yet, some bottles may still be sitting in fridges at home. It is a good idea to check the label before you pour.
