Confirmed
The Australian MotoGP is being held at Phillip Island for the last time this weekend. It is the 30th and final race at the famous island track in Victoria, Fox Sports reported. Practice starts on Friday. The main race is on Sunday 25 October. From 2027, the race is moving to Adelaide. Riders will race on a new 4.13 kilometre track in the city's parklands. The first Adelaide race is planned for 12 to 14 November 2027. The new track has a proposed price tag of $96 million, Fox Sports reported. This weekend is also special for Australian rider Jack Miller. It is his last home race in MotoGP. After 12 years in the top class, he is moving to World Superbikes with Yamaha. Miller does not want people to be sad. "I just can't imagine this weekend will feel like a funeral," he said. "It feels more like Phillip Island is retiring. We should be celebrating it." Phillip Island has hosted the race 30 times. Many fans will travel to see it one last time.
